A-1124 $32.00 Choleast is a Red Yeast Rice product. This compound is the natural base upon which Zocor and Lipitor are said to be based. In fact Merck has obtained a court order to stop the sale of Red Yeast Rice because they say it infringes on their patent. How a natural product can infringe on a drug patent, I have no idea but with the Court system today a guess anything is possible.
